It all Started when....

WE ARE TWO VINE-RIPENED LADIES OF "INDETERMINATE AGE" WHO HAVE JOINED FORCES AFTER IDENTIFYING THE NEED FOR A SERVICE THAT COULD HELP FAMILIES WHO ARE MAKING LIFE OR LIFESTYLE CHANGES, WORRIED ABOUT EQUITABLE DISTRIBUTION OR JUST WANT TO DE-CLUTTER.  WITH A COMBINED 70 YEARS OF KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE, WE CAN HELP!  LET US DIRECT YOU TO THE APPROPRIATE VENUE TO BEST SELL YOUR SINGLE ITEM, WHOLE COLLECTION OR ENTIRE ESTATE FOR THE BEST RETURN. WE STARTED OUT AS HOME STAGERS AND QUICKLY REALIZED THERE WAS A NICHE WAITING TO BE FILLED.  THE HOME OWNER INVARIABLY ASKED "WHAT DO I DO WITH ALL THIS STUFF?"  AND K & V ESTATE ADVISORY SERVICES WAS FORMED TO PROVIDE THE ANSWER.

Our Services

HOW WE DO THIS...

PROFESSIONAL HOME STAGING:

Our Staging technique is to utilize the homeowner's own furnishings, selectively rearranged to make their home appealing to the highest number of potential buyers and to sell it more swiftly and for more money.

VERBAL APPRAISALS:

We can help prospective sellers learn more about the value of any Antique,  Art and/or Vintage Collectibles, whether inherited or purchased, that they are now considering selling.

“I have used Marybeth and Kathy (they are quite a team!) for home staging on several houses and the home always sold within a few weeks after they were done. They will also help rearrange furniture the seller already has to show the home in the best possible condition. They are fantastic”

Denise Patryas, Realtor
Remax of Boulder

ESTATE LIQUIDATIONS:

To maximize clients' returns and minimize their stress and involvement during lifestyle changes, we hold Estate Sales for our clients. We can handle all details of your sale from start to finish.

PRIVATE SALES:

We can broker sales of a single item or a complete collection through our carefully developed extensive network of potential qualified private buyers and trusted specialty dealers.

SECONDARY MARKET:

We can also sell your items on the Internet through our Etsy and eBay stores or on an Online Auction, as well as at Live Gallery Auctions nationwide.

Featured Project:

If this doesn't get you excited for the season.....

Marybeth Keene

Marybeth Keene has been active in the field of American antiques for over 40 years.  She is a respected authority of 18th and 19th century American furniture and folk art, as well as antique textiles, Nantucket artifacts and other nautical objects.  For 32 years, she was Vice-President of Wayne Pratt Antiques, a large, full-service “white glove” gallery on Main Street in Woodbury, CT and a seasonal shop on Main Street on Nantucket Island, MA.  She was frequently sought out to consult with collectors on forming personalized collections and interiors for their homes up and down the Eastern Seaboard, many of which have been featured in various trade and home decorating magazines.  She is a past trustee on the board of the Connecticut Historical Society and a past member of the Friends of the American Wing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.  Marybeth is currently on the board of the Glebe House Museum in Woodbury CT and is an active member of the Nantucket Historical Association.  She also serves on the vetting committee of the prestigious January Winter Antique Show in New York City, having served as chairman of the committee from 2000-2005.

Marybeth has been an appraiser on the Emmy Award winning PBS show “The Antiques Roadshow” for the past 15 years.  In August, 2016 she was also one of the appraisers on Colorado Public Radio’s “Colorado Collectibles,” which airs in January 2017.

Kathy Vossler

Kathy Vossler found design and decorating to be her niche.  During the 80’s & 90’s she owned a boutique decorative fabric store in Columbus, Ohio.  She became known for her expertise in the layering of textures and the importance of coordinating colors in walls, rugs, upholstery, and draperies to create a warm, inviting, cohesive whole.

In the first part of the new century, Kathy moved to Colorado where she and her daughter Heather opened one of the first upscale consignment shops on Pearl Street in Boulder, selling unique quality home furnishings and accessories…vintage, contemporary, European and American traditional, and country chic.

Their store “Feather Thy Nest,” quickly became a trusted outlet for art, antiques, vintage, and “stuff too good to throw out.”  This became the basis for the formation of Kathy and business partner Marybeth’s exciting new business adventure…K & V Estate Advisors!

Together she and Marybeth use their combined extensive experience in their new home-staging business, which utilizes the homeowner’s own furnishings, selectively rearranged, to make their homes more appealing to potential buyers.  Marybeth’s appraisal experience and contacts made through the years contribute to the other services provided by K & V Estate Advisors.
